Discontinuation of the Datacard Gen 2EP Smart Card Module

With the introduction of the Datacard® Gen 3 smart card module, Datacard Group announces the discontinuation of the Datacard® Gen 2EP smart card module which was introduced in August of 2002. The Gen 2EP and Gen 3 smart card modules are used in the Datacard® 9000, 9000E, 7000 and 500 Series card issuance systems. The Gen 2 EP smart card module has been replaced by the Gen 3 smart card module and the Datacard® 11-station smart card module.
